I am finally learning to stop and smell the roses. I am a thick, beautiful and proud of it. I am not conceited but I know that "God don't make no junk." I am not materialistic nor do I believe that money makes a person. Money is nice to have but it doesn't rule the day. I am funny, smart, outgoing, and stimulating on several fronts. I can have an articulate discussion on the lyrical styles and merits of Patti LaBelle vs Beyonce. I can also discuss the socio-economic effects that September 11th will have on the youth of our community. I have no problem hanging with your homeboys at the local watering hole or your corporate cronies at some office gathering.(Yes I can kick it from urban to corporate). I'm extremely curious and love to learn as well as teach.

I read somewhere that a good woman is like a sun ripened apple. In order to be the best, juiciest, sweetest apple, you have to be at the very top of the tree where the sun can kiss you. Some men don't want to work at reaching the best apples but would rather pick from the lowest branches or retrieve the worm filled ones on the ground.
