I Would Describe Myself As I am basically a homebody. I like movies, music, concerts, plays, shows, and the like. Looking for my female counterpart, a smart, sane, funny lady with a sense of humor and a sense of style.

I have noticed that many, many ladies on this site go to great lengths to indicate that they are not interested in "booty calls." It is very unfortunate that so many of us men deal with you so disrespectfully that you find it necessary to stress that you don't want to be treated like a piece of meat. I am starting to wonder whether, at least in some cases, something else is going on. I am wondering whether, at least in the case of many women my age and older, this is a way of saying something more like that they aren't really into the sexual side of things. I certainly can appreciate that, and I most definitely would appreciate being told this forthrightly at the outset so that there are no embarrassing misunderstandings.

I will be 65 in April. But I have by no means closed the door or turned the corner on my sensual, sexual side. In fact, "Netflix and chill" is a great way to spend an evening or weekend with a like-minded companion in my view. Unlike many straight men, I truly enjoy the company of women. The overwhelming majority of my friends are women. I know women who confide in me in ways they wouldn't even consider with their husbands or partners. So I am extremely comfortable with camaraderie and friendship that are absolutely non-sexual. But it is not my goal to be the straight equivalent of the rom-com gay sidekick ONLY!

I understand that Mother Nature and Father Time exact their tolls on all of us, and that none of us has the gas in our tanks that we had twenty, thirty, or forty years ago. But I can't be the only person in this age group who is still very interested in the physical side of things with the right person. God made the pause button for a reason--just sayin'!
